Before the Run The Hare informed the first arrivals that there was the possibility that no ice or soft drinks would be delivered, so off he went to buy the same. Well done the Hare for his initiative. The fact that soft drinks did arrive while we were on the run, showed that the Mismanagement Committee are reliable…and stupid for not communicating properly before the event!!
The Run
The Hashers sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to our Hare for the day, Dodocop.
He announced that it would be a short run taking in the local rivers and hillsides.
All the rivers were dry due to the drought, and the hillsides were hillsides and not hills!!!
It was a good and varied run enjoyed by all.
The Circle
First timers:
Kristel accompanied our Hash Cash, Thierry…who mentioned that this was NOT his cousin!!??***
Second timers:
There were no second timers, so the GM had a down-down..
RA:
The RA told of a man who left the Gynkhana Club after the New Year’s Rve celebrations. He was stopped by the police and asked where he was going. “To a lecture”, he slobbered out. The police thought it was strange that a drunken man was going to a lecture at 1.30 a.m. on New Year’s Day. “Whose lecture?” the police asked. “My wife’s’, he replied! The RA then punished the GM for ignoring a BOX…what a terrible example to give to us young Hashers.
GM:
The GM showed the hashers a letter from Buckingham Palace to Lord and Lady Dodo. The GM then Hash-knighted Sir StrongOn and Lady CoffeeMate on behalf of her Royal Highness, Princess Anne.
Isis and Tomack were given downies for some trivial mis-deeds, and
Allistair received one as he is going back to his financial kingdom in Jersey.
Dodocop was also given a sympathy down-down as there had been a fire in his library where he lost his two books – one that he had just finished colouring!!
Cow Bell (Hash Hostage): Not seen.
Food: Many thanks to everybody for bringing their own food…it was excellent.
