Before the Run
One of the Hares, Marie-Claude, was taken to the Red Cross Camp which was being held beside our chosen ON-ON spot. Treatment was given to a severe graze in front of about 20 young Red Cross initiates. Thank you to Marie-Claude for her dedication to the Hash.

The Dodo and Pirate Run
The run passed through Mare aux Dodo which is the spot where Dodo bones were fo und in 1865, and again by one of our Hares in 2005. The pirates were supposed to have buried treasure near our ON-ON site in the 1720s. [Ref: Alan’s b ook ‘Pirate secrets of Mauritius ’ which will be published in early 2011] One feature of the run is that one of the ‘boxes’ was under water. Hashers got wet by ‘putting their foot in the box’. From this box Hashers were able to have good views across Blue Bay.

The Circle
The Hares were given a down-down for a goo d run.
First timers: There were eight first timers:
Baby Summer – product of Ryan and Dalinda.
Martine – Alan told her to come!
Andrew – 6 years…England football shirt.
Paul – 20 years in Mauritius, but will come back.
Sookeshud 53 years old – postman – Christian brought him – say no m ore!
Dominico Spaghetti – a 64 year old Italian – you don’t say?
Joelle – spouse of playboy above.
Pascal – 42 years old – with Juliette.

Second timers: Estienne.

RA: The RA told an Irish tale of a member of the Toastmasters and …well the tale continued, but the Circle fail ed to catch the punch line. A down-down was given to the Lion King. Baby Summer was baptised by the Rev. GM. This was followed by a special anointment of the permanent RA – now Captain Nimmo.

Cow Bell (Hash Hostage): Harold did not wear the cowbell as he didn’t do the run. He was requested to keep it for anot her term of office.

Food: Doctor Death was given a down-d own for bringing food when the mismanagement had requested him to do so!!! Phil ida, who mismanaged the food (as two lots of food were brought to the Hash), was given a down-down for what she is paid to do – MISMANAGE!!.

Red Dress Run: Saturday 18^th December 2010 at 4 p.m. The ON-ON will be at Circle de Rose Hill.
