Mauritius Hash Trash 365
30-06-2002 Clemencia Alan Red Shirt & Gilbert Dodocop #365
Hare(s): Alan “Red Shirt” & Gilbert “Dodocop”
Venue: Clemencia
Verdict: 9/10
Virgins:
Enrico, on holiday from Italy.
Second Timers:
No takers this week.
Returners:
Mr Putchler
On On:
Hares front and centre: The hares were summoned to face the crowd of 50 odd (in more ways than one) hashers. A verdict of 9/10 was awarded for yet another well set hash.
We were blessed with a warm and sunny weather. Good parking space was provided. The tracks were varied – ‘tantôt’ on open roads, ‘tantôt’ in sugar cane fields, ‘tantôt’ on top of hills with good views thrown in.
A well-planned beer stop was on offer. Hashers could catch their breaths admiring the breathtaking view.! A privilege missed by the short cutters!
RA’s Down’s Down’s:
Sinners:
Pieter for showing off his World Cup T Shirt – pre-empting victory for Germany.
Clarence for being a ‘Front running selfish bastard’ and not calling On On.
Tusha for putting the hash before the welfare of her daughter who was feeling poorly.
Blob for being an inhibited Horn Blower for once! Hashers complained that they couldn’t hear Blob”s Horn or see it!! Not surprising as he was among the short cutters!!
Captain Nimo for arriving very late, and to add insult to injury, came up with the following comment to the Hare:” The village boys can set a better Hash than you! They took me to the water falls.” Really!
Smelly Blue T Shirt:
Absent.
Children’s Award:
The Dodo came back, only to go back where it came from. Ayla is now the lucky guardian – awarded by her brother. Keep it in the family!!
Old Timers Award:
“Johnny Banana” (Gert) was welcomed back . However, to show that he was pleased to be back he had to submit to a Down Down from the Ceremonial Pot. That proved to be an effortless exercise for him.
All Hashers were on edge, wanting to get away to watch the finals of the world cup, but not before devouring the delicious chicken briani catered for by Swati and Rajesh. Thank you both.
We look forward to the next hash.
On On !! Sara “CoffeeMate” Scribe
