Braving the gale force wind and nagging rain, the Grand Master, Grand Mistress and the RA kept the tradition going.
The Hares were called Front and Centre to face the wet and muddy juries. Everyone seemed very happy that it was a well designed Hash. The Hares were very considerate and provided trails for Whimps and Super Whimps.
We all departed together from the Bocage Car Park and the gap began to open up at the opening of the thick forests. The keener ones trekked up the hill cutting their way through the wet thickets whilst the rest of us chose the more sedate style. We followed Captain Nimo back to the car park to shed off the Super Whimps. Us Whimps soon downgraded ourselves half way through the Whimps trail. Too wet, too muddy!! So we backtracked and Surprise! Surprise! Along came the runners. Undeterred, they plodded on and came back with a contented and satisfied look on their faces. This was to say that the Hares did a super job and a verdict of !0/10 was well deserved.
It was then the Virgins’ turn to take the stage for their initiation and introduction ceremony. Seven lined up and did us proud.

The Dodo flew back but only briefly. Its new guardian is Olivia. It was offered to her by her predecessor sealed with a kiss.
Announcement:
The Grand Master announced a change in the mismanagement committee.
Eric our enthusiastic RA asked to relinquish his post as he has travelling plans and is likely to be away a lot. The GM called upon Alan “Red Shirt, (ex Strong on?)” to step in.
The crowd agreed and it didn’t take a lot of convincing. Welcome to the New RA!!
A big big “Thank You” to Marie Claude for the Grub. We even had desserts this week!!

Take the motorway out of Port Louis towards the South. As you pass through Belle Village, look for the Esso station on the left. Take the small road on the left just after the filling station i.e. just before the new, narrow bridge. At the end of the short stretch, fork right but go almost straight across at the junction onto a dirt road facing you. Look for Hash sign.
From the South.
Take the motorway towards Port Louis.
Take the slip road over the new, narrow bridge, towards “A1, Belle Village, City Centre”. As you come down the other side of the bridge, fork right but immediately go straight across at the junction onto a dirt road which is facing you. Look for Hash signs.
