On On:
The RA summoned the Hares to the front for the usual post run ceremony.
The ‘Usual turned into ‘Unusual’ as the RA decided to reward the hares instead of punishing them.
Anyway they were rewarded for a Loopy Doopy Hash.
The Hares provided us with options. Some chose to venture into lush vegetation while others chose the scenic route down hill. All roads were designed to lead to a loop; so we all met up and wondered “where the f…. are we !?” – loyal to our tribe.
The only option left to us at that point was to trek all the way back up the steep hill, the same hill some of us came down!!
Luckily there was a huge pipe which provided us not only with shade but a good support system to help us make it all the way up. Curly Top, though, perched himself on the pipe grinning and delighting in watching us sweat.
Once on top the rest of the run was fairly easy, about 2km in the cane fields, specially for the runners.
A verdict of 9/10 was awarded and the hares earned it!
RA’s Down’s Down’s:
Sinners:
Keith for sitting on the pipe and looking down on the runners turned walkers.
Kevin for being generous with flour on the trail – enough to bake cakes with !
Leslie for casting blames, saying Alan chickened out of the false trails.
Brenda for completing the run in boots.
Smelly Blue T Shirt:
Still absent.
Children’s Award:
Lots of children but no award (still missing).

From the North.
Climbing the motorway from Port Louis towards South, take the slip road towards Mt. Ory (before reaching the Reduit junction).
After passing a small village, there is a right hand bend. Look for a small road on the left marked ‘Le Bocage’. Follow the road to Le Bocage car park.
From the South.
Take the motorway towards Port Louis.
Take the slip road for Moka (go up to the round about, not to Rose Hill). Go half way round the round about and on towards Moka. Turn left at the next round about towards Mt. Ory.
After passing a sign indicating that you are in Mout Ory and crossing a bridge, the road bends sharp left, then turn right on a small road marked ‘Le Bocage’. Follow the signs to Le Bocage car park.
