Well, the Russells have been at it again! They discovered a new area called “Nouvelle Découverte” and decided to share their Nouvelle Découverte with us all. Being summoned for a prompt start of 10.30, we all had to get our skates on to get there. However, when we arrived we wished we had Wellington boots on instead!!. Those who were there will know what I mean. Anyway after a lot of shuffling around to get the cars parked it was time to set off for the 7 kms and sweat it off. A nice, walkers and runners friendly trail, through lush vegetation blessed by a cool weather. Those who indulged thoroughly enjoyed it. A beer stop was on tap as usual and Jackie was always around to reassure us that we were on the right trail and that Home is not far- only two more kms to go!! Anyway back home, we all squeezed into the only green patch and guzzled a liquid of our choice until the next episode:-
RA’s Down’s Down’s:Patrice, equipped as usual with his Gris Gris tool and two green balls stepped into the muddy ring ready for action. These were his victims:
Ray and Eric for mud splashing.
Blob for losing steam on his blow job.
Jean for misrepresenting the army; wearing its cap but walked.
Perry for condoning Jean’s offence and walked with him.
Pieter for arriving late blaming his Korean wife.
Andy who by self admission does not know why he was picked, but we all saw his matching underpants.
Tommack and his herd for not respecting the circle.
Geeta whose family name seems to be linked with the four rapists.
The action did not stop there. Eric, in his bid to make the Hash a “true Hash”, started mud splashing which got the adrenaline going, and soon a mud wrestling match seemed the inevitable course of action. Egged on by the crowd and the Grand Mistress, Andy stepped forward but no one else! Just as he proclaimed victory and was getting dressed again, valiant Claude stepped forward and challenged him. It seems that Claude imagined himself to be in a beauty parlour, and they were going to have a body mud mask. Instead he found himself almost eating mud. The whole event lasted only a few seconds but left Claude with long lasting souvenir!! After all these overwhelming activities, everybody dived for Geeta’s chicken curry and rice.

Announcements:
1. Our 400th run should be on 30th November. Suggestions invited as to what we should do to celebrate. Trip to Rodrigues ? Camping/Bungalow on the beach ? ……… (You may use the ‘feedback’ page)
3. Would hashers please note that there is a deposit (money) on glass bottles (beer, softies)! Please do not throw them away with the rubbish (or even take them home).
4. Walks take place on most Sundays when there is no Hash.
The next Hash will be held at 10 am on Sunday, 13th July 2003
at Black River Gorges. NB We will start sharply at 10:30 so come early.
