BY SUPREME CUPID!! Our Hash started from Curly Tops & Co’s house. Very nice setting and a BIG THANK YOU for letting us use your house as a base. Hope we did not leave too much of a mess!! The Hash itself was a very well thought out run, which in itself was excellent. Every time we thought we were going home, it led us off in a new direction – VERY, VERY CLEVERLY DONE!! For First Timers and to us, the Old Timers, we thought we knew where it was leading us, but we were misled everytime. The Hash halts were strategically placed, which helped keep the pack together and it was good to see a lot of First Timers going off to check the false trails. Curly Top, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the Hash, but on false trails please indicate that it is a false trail, otherwise we would still be running in circles as of now. It was great to see so many First Timers and hope that they will join us again! To all the other Hashers, we need new Hares to set trails – don’t be shy! Just ask one of the Old Timers if you need any assistance! Thanks very much for the food as it did go down well and to all who helped with the organisation, THANKS VERY MUCH!! Hey you guys, where’s all the Awards?! There was only the KIDDIES and FASHION AWARDS today! Sorry we had to postpone the Camping Hash as it is not the best time to go camping on an Island. Will let you know new dates in due time. As for the Rodrigues Hash, please can we start booking and paying the 25% deposit to book your space! Friend…??!!

Welcome back Crystal Claire even though all your Down Down went over your head and also to Um Ben, wife of Abu Ben from Cairo who who shoed she is an old time Hasher by sinking every drop.
Religious Advisor
Our R.A. rambled on eloquently as usual about sons and wheelbarrows. It was all about life and learning – but I don’t think the Hashers learned a lot – that’s life I suppose! He did give a well deserved Down Down to Supreme Cupid for removing his shorts in the middle of the Hash and flashing his blue rubber undergarments at the ladies.
The Jumbo Achievers Award
This was given to Alec ‘Kebab’ Saville-Brown at his last Hash …… wonder if it is now in Trinidad?
Children’s Award
Sarah gave this to Thomas because he has never had it and his sister has!
Fashion Award
F.A. Sylvia gave this to Lilly ‘the pink’ Benoit for the tasteful and very tight pink leggings. So popular was this award that she was given a Down Down as well although she managed to get most of it over Supremous Blobus and assistant Edit Hare who happened to be sitting down wind.
Smelly Blue T-Shirt
Vikrama has Smelly Blue and as this must rate as the most popular award, please bring it along to the next Hash. Don’t forget to send your personality profile to Edit Hare.
Special Down Down
Awarded to Alan ‘Mr Knit’ Renton for leaving his underpants at Supreme Cupid’s house – no further comment is necessary. Some unkind souls suggested that the Down Downs are the only reason Alan comes to the Hash. He took it through the funnel and spilled not a drop!
New Shoes Down Down
‘Geldof’ Tumblety was wearing lovely baby blue NEW trainers so of course, got the mandatory Down Down. Georgie Boy seemed to get most of it though.

Directions: Hash will be at EAU BLEU RESERVOIRE. Take the Motorway from Curepipe to Nouvelle France. Just before the flyover, turn left to Le Val and follow the ‘Hash’ signs. From the South, turn right just after the flyover to Le Val and follow the ‘Hash’ signs. See you there. On. On.

Reunion Island Hash
Curly Top is arranging a Hash in Reunion Island over the 19 – 21 November weekend. An information sheet is attached. All happy Hashers wanting to go, complete the form and return it to Curly Top ASAP or 12 September at the latest.

Réunion Island Hash
At last, the Réunion Island Hash weekend that Curly Keith has been working on for many months has been finalised. A date has been chosen so as not to conflict with other Hash events and to precede the cyclone season. 6 travel agents have finally been whittled down to just 1, and a definite date and price can now be quoted.
Depart: Friday 19 November, evening, Air Austral
Return: Sunday 21 November, evening, Air Mauritius
Hash: Saturday
Excursion: Sunday
Cost includes:
Accommodation: 2 nights at Hotel Lancastel, St. Denis
Half board: dinner, continental breakfast
2 packed lunches per person on Saturday !!
