On On:
Set in sugar cane and on the lower slopes of Bamboo Mountain on the East side of the island. Quite a nice are with a reasonable amount of uphill ‘running’, mud, confusion etc. The Hare had a good laugh on us as we set off on an uphill circuit for the second time round! We were trapped in a groove just like those old LP records used to do. Some said that it was a lack of marking which lead to the confusion. We heard him giggling like a young girl behind us which made us look round to see what he was up to when he admitted that we were all going up hill again for nothing. What made matters worse was that he did it again! Further on into the course and after a 15 minute shower, we again found ourselves back where we had been 20 muddy minutes before ! This time we escaped from the infernal loop very rapidly and found the way back to salvation and the beer.

Phil “Wannadoo” Wright is leaving the island in a few days and was awarded a down down in the Major Mug which is reserved for important occasions. Unfortunately he took exception the passion fruit flavour which had been added to the beer for good measure by our resourceful (?) Grand Mistress. Most of the concoction went on the floor. The RA then went on to tell us about six, ten year old jokes. He is not sure if he will be able to come back to Mauritius or not so he made a rendezvous in Heaven instead, (probably wishful thinking also).
Oh well, he will be remembered! Good luck Phil, all the best to the family!

The RA then called out the following for punishment:-
Vydia, Alan, David, Rey, Jimmy, Isabelle, all for sinning on the last Hash (Phil really lives in the past). Can’t remember what the sins were but that doesn’t matter does it ??
Anand for wearing new shoes – he was treated to the “are your shoes beer proof ?” test. He took a long time to get used to the idea that the beer was really for drinking (as always), the recipient not being important.

Children’s award:
Not returned by Scuba (the big black puppy). Has it been eaten ???

Smelly Blue ‘T’ shirt:
Seems to have gone lost with it’s current ‘owner’. Come back both of you. All will be forgiven!

Announcements:
1. A Hash-Bash is being organised for the 21st June (19:30hrs) at MUG. Please see the announcement in the news page. Please book there ASAP. We need to know how many are coming for the catering. If any ladies would like to contribute a salad, it would be apreciated. Please let us know. Note that the cost is being partially subsidised by Hash funds so it will be a good deal!
2. Our 400th run should be on 30th November. Suggestions invited as to what we should do to celebrate. Trip to Rodrigues ? Camping/Bungalow on the beach ? ……… (You may use the ‘feedback’ page)
3. Would hashers please note that there is a deposit (money) on glass bottles (beer, softies)!  Please do not throw them away with the rubbish (or even take them home).
4. Walks take place on most Sundays when there is no Hash. See the “Friendly walks” page for details.
