A very interesting and slightly muddy site. We have not hashed in this area before (at least within living memory). It was in fact close to the airport but so far. We were separated by a gorge with a swift flowing river. Nice viewpoints and picturesque scenes. Also a view of the new and controversial SE Highway (The Ferney Forest zapper).
The trail was quite long and some walkers got lost. Our Pasteur and shepherd was not doing his job too well. Leslie, our beloved immediate past Master decided to take a swim in a 35cm deep canal. He was a little wet but came up smiling which was more than could be said for his new digital camera.
The RA had a go at several people after blessing the crowd and anointing our second-timer. Alan and his famous TV series on higher maths was the main subject of his wrath (obviously he could not follow the intricacies of high level maths). Five unsuspecting hashers were summoned forward to represent 5 animals in Alan’s program. After an interminable diatribe, John-the-Baptist allowed the ‘animals’ to go in peace and no blood was spilt.
Claudia and Alan were then awarded down, downs for something or other.
The smelly blue was awarded to RA John who seemed to like the idea of wearing it.
