Our Grand Master was Alan (standing in for Blob – who was off hunting) and our Religious Advisor was Fluid Druid (standing in for Peter who was in England celebrating his half- century with our Edit Hare, Zandre, (say no more).
Martin gave us a very interesting Hash. Set within the stunning scenery of Creve Coeur (which our G.M. reminded us means, “Breaking Heart’). We set off in the shadow of Mountain Pieter Both, some people followed the runners trail, some followed the walkers trail, some followed the shoppers’ trail and some made it up as they went along and got back before everyone else.
A lot of us got lost (even Martin’s dogs, Roxy and Sausage) but this didn’t matter as the views were, as usual, spectacular and Pieter Both was particularly stunning in close-up. I wasn’t worried until I saw Martin scratching his head and muttering about flour being on the right and not on the left – but we all eventually got back safe and sound. Our RA later reminded us of the story from the Bible about “The Lost Tribes of Israel” – well he would, wouldn’t he.
On the Rosemary scale it was given an 8.
Our RA called to the front of the circle: the Front-Running-Bastards, Kevisen and Sacha (aged 10 and 11 respectively) whom he nominated along with David (aged 10) as Bar Boys – our usual Bar Girls being absent.
Down-downs were given to: Tsina, Gilbert, The Chimney, Martin, Philip, Dodo Cop and David.
The Smelly Blue was awarded to Ray who was delighted.
Our GM reminded us of the next run, the BIG No. 500 – La Cambuse Camp.
ALL LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT ONE.
Your stand-in HARE.
