On On:A well set trail with a nice 1.7km of flat run for those who wanted to. Good training. nice views over the dam. Otherwise wet and muddy (normal Hash!). Three river crossings in mud. (The third thoughtfully provided so hashers could bath). Then the rain came and did the job even better.
Note that in the absence of the GM, Blob stood in, with Geeta ‘advising’ from behind (as ever).

Announcements:
1. Andy is organising a Round-Mauritius-Relay-Run for charity. He misguidedly thinks that Hashers could form a team to run all around Mauritius (240km) ! What nonsense !
Anyway, he already has almost enough volunteers who will each run either 5 or 10 km legs. About 30 more have volunteered to be stewards and check on the runners. Some more runners needed.
The idea is that we would set off on Saturday and run all night, arriving at the end (Baie du Cap) on Sunday in time for a reception/cocktail. Andy is hoping that the event will receive a visit from a royal VIP who will be in Mauritius at that time (November).
2. Training sessions are now in full swing at 5pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays at Gynkhana Club. Come and join in! It may even do you some good !!
3. Would hashers please note that there is a deposit (money) on glass bottles (beer, softies)! Please do not throw them away with the rubbish (or even take them home).
4. Walks take place on most Sundays when there is no Hash. See the “Friendly walks” page for details.
