Everyone was impressed by young Carl Wright who ran the Hash bare foot. Since he is a ‘well known’ surfer, it was decided to baptise him “One eye”. (On account of his youth, the usual indignities were omitted)
On On:
An excellent run if a little tiring! Three or four times across a river, through woods, cane fields, balancing across irrigation canals, all the way down to the sea via a rubbish dump, along the rocky sea shore, stop for beer at Keith’s home, on up the hill (hot, puff, puff!), through another rubbish dump, and back to Anna. (Who is Anna ? Well, if you were there you would know ! )

Sad announcement:
It was announced that this was probably the last time that Keith “Curly top” would be Hashing with us. He is due to leave Mauritius soon to follow his career in “greener dryer pastures”. He was presented with the inevitable and useless squashed beer bottle. GM expressed our deep sorrow to see him go and wished Val & himself good luck.

Notices:
1. Would hashers please note that there is a deposit (money) on glass bottles (beer, softies)! Please do not throw them away with the rubbish.
2. We are planning an end of year “Hash Bash” which will probably be held at MUG on about 28th December(evening). Keep the date free!
3. We hope to have a special Hash on 29th December at FUEL. Special meal etc.
Cost about Rs 100 per head. Watch this space for details.

Past the Fire Station, Esso station etc. At Pont Carbonel, fork left towards Nouvelle France. Look for Domain des Aubineaux and Hash sign about 200 meters on left.
