Excellent hash – even the weather stopped raining – until at least we had stopped running

GM (Leslie): Three first timers came forward –
Alan Shaw from New Zealand
Kim Tierney from Reunion
Linda Ryan from Australia

Fortunately for the GM there were second timers –
Michael Watson from New Zealand
Desiré & David Stewart also from New Zealand
And Jeff

All were suitably baptised into the fellowship of hashers with ‘down downs’!

RA (Patrice): In the absence, once again, of our RA Tom – Patrice did a little amusing performance for everyone.

The GM called forward Martine adorned in the ‘Smelly Blue’ t-shirt who in turn presented in to Eric the Frenchman – for being ‘a very regular hasher’!

At this point ‘rain stopped play’ and we adjourned for some excellent food supplied by Henriette.

The GM thanked Henriette for stepping in at the last moment to provide the food.

After eating and drinking the rain subsided and we had our hash meeting part 2
– the election of the miss-management committee for 2005.

The following people were proposed, seconded and accepted their nominations graciously for the following posts – effective from the next hash –

GM – Clarence (one of the longest serving hashers) – and was given a celebration ‘down down’

RA – Anan (also a long serving hasher) – he will work with Tom who leaves in June - and was given a celebration ‘down down’

Hash Market – Marie-André

Cellar Master – Gilbert – he will work with Andy who leaves in a couple of months

Hash Cash – Claudia will continue

Trail Master – Alan will continue

Food Master – Sylvia will continue

Hash Horn & General Stand-In – Blob will continue in post

Drinks for Wimps – Philidia will take over from husband Jean!

Web Master & Ice Maiden – Bob will continue in post

Chill Boxes & Table Bearer – Leslie

Barbecue Bearer – David will continue

GM (Leslie) thanked everyone for their hard work over the last year and everyone’s support.

He wished the new team ‘all the best for 2005’.

He was then given a ‘down down’ for being the outgoing GM.
Jackie then thanked Leslie for his devotion (to the Hash) during the past year.
